Schieblock and Delftsepoort

On Thursday, April 19th 2012, the first phase of the Luchtsingel was realized and opened to the public. The first section of the bridge goes straight through the Schieblock building. By making a passage way on the Delftseplein a connection is made between Central Station and the Schiekade. All is realized during the 5th International Architecture Biennale and a few days after winning the City Initiative. The rapid realization is made possible as many crowdfunders have bought a plank (with their name or message on it) sponsoring the bridge.
