9 December Luchstingel Debate
Luchtsingel debate BAR
” How to make city with 4 million euros?”
In 2012 the ZUS won the first Rotterdam City Initiative . More than 20,000 people voted for the project the Luchtsingel. The city of Rotterdam made four million euros available for its realization. A firm wooden pedestrian bridge of 390 meters long is the backbone of the Luchtsingel . In addition, the project is more that just the bridge. The prize money is also put into the development of public spaces as a DakAkker on Schieblock , a park Pompenburg and the roof of the former Hofplein Station . Halfway through 2014 the Luchtsingel connects the Central District with Pompenburg and Hofbogen .
The recent bridge rail has brought a lot of attention in the ( social ) media . Besides positive reactions were also critical questions about the safety and cost and on the progress and transparency of the process . The potential significance of the Luchtsingel for its immediate surroundings and the city is the subject of continuing debate . All the more reason for a public discussion . ZUS invites everyone on Wednesday 11 December in a public debate to inform themselves about the Luchtsingel and further hone his opinion. The debate will with:
